A Fatal Thaw is #2 in the Kate Shugak series by Dana Stabenow. I liked this book much better than the first one. There seems to be a seriel killer on the loose, he gets up one day and starts shooting all those he runs into. Kate is lucky enough to stop him before he gets her. The problem…one of those that he claims to have killed was actually killed with a different gun. Kate is hired to try and find the real killer.
I really enjoyed this one. I enjoyed the descriptions Stabenow gives us about Alaska. I also enjoy some of the Indian references thrown in.
