Sometimes the emotional ones are really hard to read, but they are so worth it. Thanks..my leg is better and I was able to run a 5k on Saturday (and came in 1st for my age group! and 3rd female over-all! super excited about that).Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17182023445485838169noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8136628.post-59996097196492957212010-10-09T19:19:37.416-05:002010-10-09T19:19:37.416-05:00This sounds like a special series, Kris. It mirrored so close to what I am going through right now as well as some past experiences, such as losing a friend to cancer.

I hope your leg is feeling better, Kris!Literary Felinehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13079276242303738719noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8136628.post-78677162898785784362010-10-08T17:27:15.544-05:002010-10-08T17:27:15.544-05:00Thanks, Kris. I read the Grace Valley trilogy first and fell in love, I haven't read her stand alone books yet though. I'll have to look up those two books, thanks for mentioning them.

Krista - The Lorna Barrett books are good for at getting one angry aren't they?

Mel - Glad to know of others who get emotional with this series. haha! I've only listened to the first to Outlander books, the second really dragged for me. I'll have to listen to the third soon and see what I think/feel.

Thoughts of Joy - I've read most of the Blossom Street books and listened to a couple of the Cedar Cove books by Macomber. When I read the Grace Valley trilogy I compared it to Macomber and thought them similar. With the Virgin River series...Carr has far surpassed Macomber in my mind. I am much more attached to the characters and more emotional with them. I can't read the Macomber books back to back..but have a feeling I could with the Carr books.
