Lolita by Vladimir Nabokov
I had a hard time with this book. I have seen the movie so I had an idea of what the book was about. I think the problem was with the writing style for Vladimir. I read this for my banned book group so I'm interested to see what everyone has to say about it.

I had a problem with Humbert Humbert only. I guess this should be attributed to the writing style, but once I read the afterward by Nabokov, I was so in love with him and his use of words, that I let myself get the joke, which is really on and about HH. It was hard, considering that child molestation is so not funny.
I'm currently reading Pale Fire, which is very different.
