The Boy Next Door by Meg Cabot

I loved this book! This is the second I have read by the author and I do plan on reading more! The book is written as emails, I really like this format. So Mel finds her next door neighbor on the floor almost dead. She calls 911 and they take the neighbor to the hospital where she is in a coma. The neighbor has animals and Mel takes care of htem until she is able to contact the aunts nephew (the only living relative). the nephew askes a friend to pretend to be him and go to his aunts to take care of the animals. Of course this friend and Mel fall in love - the only catch is that she thinks he is the newphew. uh-oh! You know that's not going to stay a secret for long!
