Prayers for the Assassin by Robert Ferrigno

It took me awhile to finish this book - I had a hard time getting into it. I was a little confused by the names of one of the armies, Fedayeen, I think it just bothered me because I don't know how to pronounce it. I thought the beginning was hard to get/confusing also. However - that being said - keep reading! By the middle of the book I was hooked! I wanted to know what would happen to Sarah and Rakkim. I wanted to know what her secret was and why she was in such danger. I wanted to see the assassin fail.

It is true this book takes place in the future, although not too far ahead - the year is 2040. I don't read a lot of books like this - that do take place in the future, so maybe that was why I had a hard time? I did think it was a great book. The mystery aspect drew me in. I loved the two main characters. I also loved most of the secondary characters. I wanted to know what happened to Spider and his kids. I wanted to jump up for joy when Angelina fought back.

If you see this book - I do recommend picking it up.

I never let the inability to pronounce words get to me. As long as I'm reading to myself, no one will no if I'm mispronouncing them. As long as I can keep them straight, I'm okay with it.

I ran into name trouble when I tried to read Crime and Punishment. I started out giving nicknames because it was too much to have to pronounce those Russian names over and over, but then I wound up confusing them all.
