I really enjoyed this novel. The dialect is similiar to Beloved by Toni Morrison if you have read that one. I know some in the book club didn't finish the book - they were having trouble reading it because of the dialect. I have read Beloved and so didn't have a problem with this book.
I really enjoyed this novel. It is about a women who doesn't want to be forced to live the life her grandmother thinks would be good for her. She wants more out of it. She ends of walking out on her first husband to follow a man in search of love. It is about how she deals with life and what happens to her.
