This is the first in the mystery series. I enjoyed the first in her other series and thought I would give this one a try and I wasn't disappointed.
Harper was struck by lightening when she was a teenager and since then she has been given a gift. She is now able to communicate with the dead....she can't really talk to them but she is normally able to find the dead bodies and able to tell you how they were killed. She has been hired by a lady in a little town called Sarne to try and find one of the teenagers that was recently killed. The ladies son was shot and was dating the other girl that is lost, the town says her son killed the girl and then committed suicide but she thinks they were both murdered. Harper is able to find the girl and tell them they were both murdered. Harper wants to leave town but somebody is intent on her and her step-brother staying even though the town doesn't like them. Will they be able to leave the town in one piece?
