2009 Read-Your-Own-Books Challenge

I have decided to join this challenge. I know....I'll do too many challenges next year and not finish any of them. But..that's why they are a challenge, to challenge me to do something.
This one will help with the TBR challenge I plan to sign-up for again.

The concept: Read books you already own.

Ok, the rules are pretty easy.
1)Set a goal for how many of my own books I plan to read in 2009
2)Read from the collection between January 1st, 2009 and December 31st, 2009

Easy right? It should be since I don't normally borrow books. haha!

I'm going to add my own rule to this though, I'm going to pick my number, and they have to be books that I own in 2008, so I'm not going to count those that I end up buying or getting in 2009. This will help me read more of the books that I already own. Otherwise, the temptation to buy new books to read and count for this challenge would be too great.

My magical number: 24 28

I plan to create a list ahead of time, but will change as I wish (of course).
I don't have the list now, put I'll post it when I figure it out.

I thought about making a rule like that, too. But I wimped out. ;-) Good luck with the Challenge!

Good goal!
I'm thinking about my challenges for next year as well.
Must admit I'm way behind my schedule for this year though. Too much on my plate to read as much as I would like to.
The challenges are tempting though, this one too!
Will keep it in mind :-)

Lezlie - haha! well..I might have made up a rule, but who knows if I'll follow it!

Cessie - I know. Tons of challenges sound fun and interesting, but I have to limit myself because I get way behind and don't finish them. haha! Next year I hope to do better.
