Twilight by Stephenie Meyer

I couldn't help it. I just had to read this book due to everyone I know raving about it. I had a ton of books I should have read first, but I couldn't help it. I'm so glad I did! I loved this book. I somehow already own the last in the series but not the second? Weird how that happens. So I won't be reading another for awhile. That's bad because I really want to read it, but good because I know once I finish the last in the series I'll be mad that there aren't more. Haha!

I'm going to assume that most of you know all about this book now. Girl meets boy. Boy turns out to be a vampire. Girl and boy fall in love. Evil vampire out to kill girl. Yup, that's the gist of it. Seriously, I could go on and on about the book…but you all know about it already. And with the movie being released today, you would have probably already seen the trailer etc.

I will say this..Edward, the good vampire, is extremely sexy in the book. Bella is one heck of a lucky girl. Why oh why couldn't he have shown up at my highschool?

Chain Reading was kind enough to leave a comment mentioning a blog that is giving away copies of these books, so head on over here if you want.

Have you reviewed this book on your blog? If so let me know and I'll link it below

I read it and reviewed it. You're welcome to link to my review, although I will warn you that it's not a glowing, positive recommendation. My personal opinion is that Twilight was poorly written, clunky and over-rated. I hated Bella!

Just so you know, Maw Books is having a giveaway of the first three books in the series. Here's the link: http://blog.mawbooks.com/2008/11/21/tell-me-your-thoughts-about-the-twilight-movie-and-win-the-books/.

I have a review that covers the first three books:

(I'm sorry--I have no idea how to actually make it a link in a comment. Someday I'll learn!)

I liked this book better than the second one. New Moon was really boring, that's what I thought. I have yet to read the 3rd or 4th book.

Oooh, I can't wait to catch the movie. It's coming out in cinemas in my country on Nov 27.

Haha! Edward sure sounds like a hottie. Probably other girls are wishing that he'd turn up at their high schools too! :D

This is my review of Twilight. I'll link yours to mine too.

Josette - thanks for the comment, I'll be interested to see what I think of New Moon once I get a chance to buy it and read it. Don't worry, I won't be able to see the movie for awhile, you might even beat me to it!

Ladytink - glad to hear you enjoyed the movie! So far that's what I've heard from other adult readers....I can't wait to see it for myself.

Lisa - I can agree with you that Bella's clumsiness was a bit much, that did bother me too, but then I just stopped really paying attention to that part of the story. haha!

I read it and my review went up at the end of January. Here's the link: http://faustisbookquest.blog-city.com/twilight.htm

I like that Meyer did something like the Jane Austen version of sci-fi/fantasy here. I was able to just float along with the story and enjoy it. The Swanns and the Cullens are good people and that goes far with me.
