Right away I can tell that I didn't read even close to the amount I read last year. I had a lot going on this year though. I was in school for the entire year, whereas in 2007 I was only in school for ½ the year. We also bought a new house this year that required a lot of work on the weekends and in the evenings. I really do think that's where most of my reading time went this year. I also listened to more audio books last year. I know the reason for that. This year Husband and I worked at the same company the entire time, so we carpooled. Unfortunately Husband is not a reader. The only good side is that while he listens to talk radio and does the driver, I read.
As for interesting stats for 2008, I thought you would never ask.
December proved to be the month where I read the largest amount of books, 12. Although May was a close second with 11 books read. I read the most pages in August, a whopping 3,659. December was came in second with 3,359 pages. I know why August was highest too, I read my A+ book which is huge. I'm sure you will be happy to note that I'm reading it again. That gives you something to look forward to in 2009. Haha!

Your stats look pretty close to me. Happy New Year!
I like to compare my reading stats to previous years too. It's fun to try and pick out patterns and see where there are variance. I enjoyed reading your bookish stats! Thanks for sharing.
Literary Feline - Thanks! I'll be making some changes to my stats...I'll be posting that within the next couple of days
well.. i would think-- it doesn't matter how many #of pages/books you read but what you read. hope is you learn from the past and become wiser at your choice(of books).
count & compare of number books which you would consider as 'waste of time' or 'not so interesting'books. i think you will find the progress..with it, the time you saved.
Happy 2009 & beyond.
