My youngest nephew turned 1 on the 23th. My sister had a birthday party with the in-laws this past weekend and Husband and I crashed it. This is one of my favorite photos - he's offering his Dad some of his smash cake.(ps...the cutie in the background is one of my other nephews (different sister)..he turned 1 in August. He had a crying and screaming fit because he wanted cake too...so we gave him some. haha! It was soo funny) eek..I just realized I never posted a picture from his b-day...stay tuned for next week! I'll try to remember to post one.)

Too cute! I've never heard of a smash cake.
Bermudaonion - I had never heard the term smash cake until recently even though I had seen them. A lot of times when a kid turns 1 the parents will have a bday cake for the people at the party and then another, smaller one, just for the baby, that they can get all over themselves. I guess they call them smash cakes since most kids make a huge mess with them.
