I don't often write movie reviews but felt I would with this one. No worries, I'll keep it short. I saw this movie on 12/31/2011 and it was a great way to end the year. I had been looking forward to this movie for some time and not just because Daniel Craig is in it (I happen to have a major crush on him).
As you might recall, when I read this book it took me about half-way through before I really got into it and start to like it. I notice that when my interest picked up is when the character of Lisbeth was given more attention. She made the book for me. In fact, she made the whole series. Even though this wasn't my favorite in the trilogy, I was still pumped for the movie.
I felt they did a really good job with the adaption. Sure, there were some changes and one major change I have to admit I'm not crazy about, but over-all I'm very pleased with the movie. I loved seeing the characters come to life and feel the actors did a great job. Daniel Craig as Mikael Blomkvist was great. I felt he did a wonderful job with the role. However, Rooney Mara as Lisbeth stole the show. I was nervous as to how well I would like it, even though she seemed to do great in the trailers. So happy I can admit that I had nothing to worry about. She really brings Lisbeth's character to life and just does an excellent job.
This is a movie I would see again, I would even see it at the theater again, that's how much I liked it. So if you read the book and are interested in the movie, I say go see it. Hopefully you'll enjoy it as much as I did, or at least a lot.

We went to see this movie too and really liked it. I haven't read the books, so I have nothing to compare it to.
