Simple Description:
This is a spin on the classic story of Sleeping Beauty.  Sleeping Beauty does go into a deep sleep where only true love can save her, but before that happens she trains as a vampire slayer.  See, her curse is that she sleeps during the day and everyone else is awake. However when the sun goes down she wakes up and everyone else is asleep.  She trains, semi-secretly as her Mom knows but her Dad doesn't, to be a Vampire slayer so she can protect herself and others at night.

She spends the first 16 years of her life being sheltered from everything because the curse will happen if she pricks her finger after she turns 16.  So there is a lot of teenage angst earlier in the book as she's frustrated with everything.  Then after the curse is in effect she focuses on protecting her parents but also finding true love.  Luckily she has two options in the true love department.

This book isn't just a twist on a classic tail but it's also a choose-your-own-adventure book.  Do you remember those?  I haven't read one since I was a kid!  I used to love them!  There are a couple of times during the story where you choose what selection the princess must take and your story changes depending on what you choose.

 My Thoughts:
I wanted something light and fun after spending so long reading A Clash of Kings.  This book fit that perfectly.  It's not the best story but it was enjoyable and fun.   You have to go in to it not expecting superior writing and just looking for a good time. If you do that, I think you'll enjoy it.  The author has another book that is very similar, Cindarella Ninja Warrior. I already plan on reading that one. haha
