I seem to be in a reading slump for the month. I hate when they last
this long! I am enjoying the book I’m reading too, just in a slump.
I
have a lot going on and sometimes at night I just want to play a
mindless game on the ipad and not have to “think”. I’m sure you all know
how that is.
Not only is most of my time spent taking
care of my (almost) 9 month old, but I’m also gearing up for a hectic
race season. This is the first year I’ll be diving head first into
triathlons. My race season starts on Feb. 9th and ends in November. I
have at least one race every month. My lowest distance running race is a
15k, with my tackling my first marathon in May. My triathlons, except
the one on Feb. 9th, will all be the Olympic distance. This means that
when I’m not taking care of my daughter and working, I’m focusing on
trying to get better in all three sports. Oh Mamma! I’m often up and
running by 4:30am, so you can imagine why when I go to bed I only get a
couple pages read before passing out. Such is life!
I’ve
finished one book this month and never got around to reviewing it. I’m
holding out on doing a wrap-up post in case I finish my current one in
the next couple of days.
Fingers crossed I can get back into a reading groove soon!

Been there. When I had little ones, I felt lucky to finish a book a week. Sometimes, it was more like one per month. Something's got to give when you have so much on the agenda.
Exactly Bookfool! I'm happy to get in what reading I can.
