Until Proven Guilty by J.A. Jance

This is the first in the J.P. Beaumont series by Jance. I actually didn’t get into it right away but by the halfway point I was interested. In this novel Beaumont and his partner, Peters, start investigating the murder of a little girl. The mother belongs to a cult and they both believe the minister was behind the girls death. At the girls funeral Beaumont befriends the lady in red. This is a lady who is very pretty and it seems she is also very wealthy. Soon Beaumont and this lady are in love and are planning to be married a week after they meet each other. At the same time Beaumont is not getting anywhere in solving this girls murder. Then all of a sudden the girls mother and the evil minister are found shot to death. Who is the killer and who is this lady in red?
