A More Perfect Union by J.A. Jance is the 6th in the Beaumont series. Beau is stuck “supervising” a movie while it is being made. It is being filmed in Seattle and the Mayor requested that he be there to make sure the cops in the movie are represented well. While on site filming one day a real body is found floating in the water. 2 other detectives are assigned to the case, but of course Beau can’t help investigating himself. He seems to be getting more leads than the 2 who are actually supposed to be investing it, although that could also be because Beau is the only one who thinks this death wasn’t an accident and is related to others.
I enjoyed this one just as much as the other Beaumont books so far.
