Trial by Jury is the part of the Beaumont series by J.A. Jance. In this book a man is found dead behind a grocery store dumpster, there is no identity on him so Beaumont and Peters think it will be hard to figure out who it is. As it turns out, the guy was the coach at a nearby school. At first look Beaumont and Peters feel that the Principal and the team and cheerleaders are all very upset to learn their loved coach was murdered. The coach leaves behind a very pregnant wife who is very upset however Beumont and Peters both feel there is something she isn’t telling them. Things get even trickier when the detectives uncover an evil “game” the cheerleaders play every year.
