The first book I have read for the new year! I enjoyed this book - I don't think I liked it as much as I did The Secret Lifes of Bee's and at first I didn't really think I liked it - but then I realized I couldn't put it down! I think I read it in 2 days.
It is about a women who is becoming uncertain in her life. she isn't sure about her marriage or the life she has made. She gets a call that her mother has cut of her finger and she must go back home to take care of her. she doesn't know why her mother did it (she did it on purpase) and she hopes to find out. This is a story of how she falls in love with a monk - realizes her marriage is what she wants - and unveals the mystery in her childhood.

Have you ever read Jodi Picoult? I just got into her and her books are amazing...fiction...hard to put down reads. Highly recommend: The Pact!
