Naked in Death by J.D. Robb

This is the first book I have read by J. D. Robb, or rather Nora Roberts. I had heard great things about this series but wasn't sure if I would like it because it takes place in the far future and I don't always like the sci-fi, future, books.

I admit - I was hooked on this book and I do plan to read the rest in the serires. I really like the characters and I liked the story. I think what I liked about this is that even though it takes place in the future and has stuff that we don't have now, she didn't take forever to explain everything. She just assumed we would figure it out by the name of the item and by the way it is talked about in the story.

Eve is selected to investigate the murder of a companion - she gets a lot of pressure because she is the granddaughter of a senetar. Soon there are 2 other companions who have been killed in the exact same way. She must figure out who the seriel killer is before more are killed.

Oh, good, I'll have to give this one a shot. I like futuristic novels but I was avoiding J.D.Robb. Thanks, Kris! And, wowee, are you ever on a reading roll! Very cool!

I'm listening to my first J.D. Robb book while running errands. I didn't realize it was part of a series until I read your blog. Egads! Now I'll have more to add to my staggering mountain of books-to-be-read.

I just visited Nora Roberts' website. There are 17 books in this series! That's both good and bad. Good because that gives us something to look forward to; bad because I alread have a list 10 miles long to look forward to.

ha! I have to agree - I like knowing I have that many books to read in the series but at the same time - so many other books I want to read it will be hard.
