This is yet another great one by Iris Johansen. I really enjoy her books. I like the stories, there is usually some romance but not too much so it shouldn't bother the average thriller reader who might not like that kind of thing.
Sophie developed a drug that would help people who suffer from insomnia. The problem is that her boss had the drug altered and used as mind controle. She stopped working for him when she found this out but was unable to keep the formula away from him. Now she is determined to kill her boss. In steps Royd - who happens to be on the same mission as Sophie - because he was one of those that the mind controle was used on. With Royd's help, and the help of some other friends, she is able to keep her son safe and go after her former boss.
