Dead Until Dark by Charlaine Harris

I loved this book! This is the first in the southern vampire series by Charlaine Harris. Sookie is the main charactor, she has a "disability". The disability is really that she can read minds, but she doesn't tell people this, although some know and most just think she is simple and weird. She meets a vampire named Bill. Then women start being murdered, Sookie knows Bill didn't do it, but everyone else is against him. Then her brother is becoming the prime suspect in these murders and that is just another thing she has to deal with.
This is a great book for Halloween, just because it deals with vampires and mind readers and shape shifters (threw that one in there didn't I? haha!). I believe there are 4 in this series now and I do plan on reading the rest, I probably won't be able to wait until next October either.
One thing I will warn some of you about - I consider this a cozy mysteries - but there is a lot more "sex" in this book than in normal cozy books. It didn't bother me at all but I thought I would let you know.
