On a Snowy Night by Debbie Macomber

This is the first book I have read by Debbie Macomber. I have heard great things about her stories and I have to admit, I really enjoyed these two Christmas/romance stories.
The Christmas Basket
Noelle left her hometown 10 years ago. She had fallen in love with Thom and they had planned to elope, only Thom never showed up at the designated meeting time. The reason they felt the need to elope at age 18, the two families were at war with each other. Their mothers used to be best friends but then something happened that made them enemies. Now, Noelle is returning for Christmas and to help with the wedding preperations for one of her younger sisters. She runs into Thom again and even though she is very hurt he never showed, she realizes she never stopped loving him. Can the two of them put their differences aside and somehow get their mothers to stop fighting so they be a couple and not hide it?
The Snow Bride
Jenna lives in LA, has a good job, but no life. She wants an adventure. She meets a guy online and after 4 or 5 months she decides to move to Alaska to meet him. This gives her the opportunity for adventure and hopefully snagging a husband. When she arrives in Alaska her friend is not at the airport as promised. She finds a man, Reid, who is willing to fly her to his town, but when this man finds out who she is going to meets, he tells her what a jerk the man is and refuses to fly her to his town, instead he kidnaps her and takes her to his town. His logic was that she could stay with his sister Lucy and since Lucy used to date the jerk, she can tell Jenna to forget the other man. Of course nothing goes as plans. Lucy is out of town and Jenna must stay with Reid, the plan is to fly out the next day only a blizzard hits and they are stuck for 2-3 days. Durring this time will they continue to fight or will they slowly fall in love? What happens with Jenna's Mom - and her ex-boss, whom she has been in love with, both show up?
