Delusion by Peter Abrahams

Twenty years ago, Nell's boyfriend was murdered while they were out walking one night. Now, after a hurricane has destroyed most of the town, new evidence appears that frees the man Nell sent to jail for the crime.
Nell is married to the current police chief, who was also the detective who helped but this man in jail. Now Nell decides something happened twenty years ago that resulted in the wrong man going to jail, and she won't be happy until she knows what happens. She is convinced that her husband knew about the cover-up.
While this is going on, Nell's daughter comes home from college. She was kicked out for poor academics, even though she used to get really good grades. Her daughter's father is the man who was killed so long ago. The daughter, Norah, is acting like something is wrong. Like she knows something that Nell doesn't. To make matters worse, Norah has been hanging out with the man her mother sent to jail. Although he was committed for a murder he didn't commit, that doesn't mean he is a good guy.
Overall, I really enjoyed the book. I haven't read anything by this author, so I can't compare to his other work, but this book was good. I admit that I kinda had the story figured out about half-way through it, but that didn't ruin it for me. I still enjoyed the story and riding along with the characters as the truth unfolded.
