Queen of Babble Gets Hitched by Meg Cabot

This is the 3rd book in the Queen of Babble series. In the 2nd book, Queen of Babble in the Big City, we left off with Lizzie and Luke breaking up and Lizzie hanging out with Chas, Luke's best friend. So the 3rd book, Queen of Babble Gets Hitched, starts off with Lizzie waking up after an evening where her and Chas got a little, well, close. Lizzie wakes up to Luke pounding on her door. When she greets him, Luke asks her to marry him and she says yes.

Now starts the roller coaster. Does Lizzie really love Luke? But what about Chaz? Doesn't her stomach do flip-flops whenever she is with him? Isn't Chas the one who remembers things about her, such as the fact that she likes a side of ice with her white wine?

Of course, let's not forget that in the last book Lizzie gets a job working for the Henri's restoring wedding gowns. She seemed to hit gold with the last design because the day after that wedding, the same day she gets engaged, she goes to work and the phone won't stop ringing. The Henri's having come in to work either. In an act of desperation, Tiffany ends up being a part-time receptionist for Lizzie. Lizzie also agrees to do a custom wedding gown for Ava Greck, an heiress who is known for not being so, shall we say, lady-like?

For six months or so Lizzie basically runs the shop for the Henri's, she becomes some-what friends with Ava, and she avoids Chas and sometimes Luke too. Tiffany and Ava, and Gran, believe Lizzie should dump Luke for Chas. However Lizzie isn't sure that's the right thing to do.

I don't want to give away anything else, so I'm going to stop the review there. If you have liked the other two Queen of Babble books, I think you will enjoy this one as well. I personally love these books. They are a fun, light read. If you need something that isn't heavy, try one of these. I really like Lizzie. She seems like the type of girl that I could be friends with. Sure she is a little irrational at times, but aren't we all? I love the way this book ends and I hope there is at least one more in this series to look forward to.
