Blog Improvement Project – Week 4: Basics

So I skipped week 3. I could come up with some really cool excuse on why I skipped it, but I would be lying. The real reason is that I was being lazy.

So here's what week 4 is about. It's about the basics. Is your picture updated? Do you have an updated blogroll? Is it easy for people to subscribe to an RSS feed? Do you have an "about me" section up and is it current? You get the idea.

I decided that I didn't really need to do anything with this one. Since I updated my blog last month, everything is already up-to-date. I have an rss feed, I changed my picture recently, I have a gadget that shows what I follow on google reader – I consider that my blogroll.

So what else is there for me to do? Do any of you have any suggestions? Did you go looking for something on my site and not find it? Do you think I could update something?

I'm kind of in the same boat, but I think the break is good.

Do you need to add links to twitter or links to stumble your posts or anything like that?

Do you need to sign up for more blog directories to drive more traffic to your blog?

Beth - I'm with you, except that I also took week #3 off so feel like I need to do something this time. haha!

J. Kaye - haha! I am pretty good about posting my reviews within 48 hours of finishing the book.

Callista - good ideas! Thanks! I need to link Twitter - only I'll have to figure out how to do that first, and then remember to update twitter. I haven't done anything with stumble, keep looking at it, but not doing anything
