Tuesday - Husband reviews

I thought I would share this because it's rather funny.  At least..it made me bust out laughing at work.

This past Friday Husband was asking me how I liked The Historian, he noticed it was my current audio book.   So I replied and then mentioned that I had scheduled some buddy reads for a couple of the books he has recently read and wanted me to read so he could see what I thought of them.  These books being The Hunger Games and Girl With a Dragon Tattoo.  I also mentioned that his current read, Fever 1793 by Laurie Halse Anderson, is the book I'll be reading in November.  (he was putting a book he finished in my library and happened to see it and picked it up).

Here is his reply to that email:
Hunger games is okay.  girl with tattoo is good if you are 80 years old.  and this current one is trash.

Lol!  There is no sugar-coating it for Husband..he'll tell you exactly what he thinks.   Of course, now I'm really interested to read them myself to see what I think.

On Friday I gave him Creepers by David Morrell and he is close to finishing it.  When I asked if he thought it was creepy, he said it was "ok".

Lol, this sounds like my hubby. We read a lot of the same books and his best compliment for a book it " yeah, it's pretty good." If it's one he didn't like, it's because it was "boring, not much happened".

Kaye - lol! Glad I'm not alone in this. I'm in a bit of a slump and it's making me mad that Husband is reading faster than me..yet doesn't seem to enjoy it half as much as I do.

Well, it sounds like The Hunger Games is the only one I should read! LOL

He may be a man of few words, but he does get his point across.

Love it! That's hilarious but I like how he doesn't mince words.

Anna - Makes you want to run out and read those books doesn't it? lol! Could you just imagine if he had a blog where you reviewed books? I bet it would be a sensation.
