Thankfully Reading Weekend - mini-challenge 2

The 2nd mini-challenge is to show either you tbr pile or at least one bookshelf.  I believe I've shown my bookcase before, but I'm going to show you again.  This bookcase has most of my mysteries.  Several are read, but unfortunately several are still waiting around for me to read them.    The middle section is actually where they mysteries are.  The section on the right side has books that I either love and don't want to put back into a box or ones in a fictional series that I'm working on.  The section to the left is where I house the books I'm planning to read for challenges throughout the year.  This section is rather scary in January.

To the right, you see a bit of another bookcase.  Well, that entire wall will soon be one huge bookcase!  I can't wait!

I'm sure I've told before how much I love that bookcase. Love it! I really should be more organized about my reading challenges. That way I wouldn't fail some that I really, really love (like the cozy mystery challenge, which I will of course sign up for again).

I bet that challenge section is a bit scary in early January.

That looks great! Very put together and behind doors. Locked? LOL I would lock up certain books. I think it will look fabulous taking up the entire wall. Thanks for sharing.
My TBR Shelf?

I can't wait to see the wall of bookshelves! What do you have planned??

We have a room in our home that I want to convert into a library - the husband wants it to be a game room/bar area/man cave. Check with me in a year...

Beth - Thanks! I'm so glad I convinced Husband we needed that bookcase. lol! I hope you do sign up for the cozy challenge again..it's fun even if you don't complete it. :) Yup..the challenge section is always really really scary in January but I love seeing it get smaller and smaller.

SenoraG - I wish I could lock it! Lol! I do keep the doors closed but they don't have locks on it. When I first got the doors up my sister took my nephew (he was probably round 1 at the time) and said "you are never to enter this room, Aunt Kris will be very very mad at you if you do" lol! Then one time I went in there when they were over and she picked him up and ran in there saying "quick quick..it's open..let's go in the library!" lol!

Alison's book Marks - I can't wait to see the bookshelves either! lol! Right now it will either be floor to about 4 inches below the crown molding or we'll have the crown molding taken off, build the bookshelves to the top, and put the crown molding on the front, so it looks like the bookcases are built in. Right now it comes down to how hard it will be and the cost..we aren't gifted enough to build this on our own and are paying somebody to do it. Luckily, even though Husband isn't much of a reader, he understood my desire for a library so we searched for a house that had a room I could convert. We do have a partially finished basement with pool table and ping pong table, he could make that his man cave if he wished..although we never use them. haha! Instead it's used for when we work out...whatever works eh?

Bermudaoinon - Thanks! I'm still giddy with excitement.

Alisonwonderland - Thanks! I thrive on organization..not that it always appear that way. lol

Mandy - Thanks..I love the glass doors too. It makes it seem just that much more special..you know?

Thanks Jenn! I think that is what first attracted me to the bookcase, the fact that the doors were glass. I think it makes it look classy.
