Now, while I love knowing how to make some flowers, I have to admit that I was super excited to learn how to swirl the icing on cupcakes. I see these all the time in bakeries and love the way they look but when I tried it at home, it never looked good. I can't say that it looks fabulous just yet, but with some practice I'll get there.
I'm actually surprised by how well I was able to learn how to make the rosettes, the light blue design. I'm not good enough to actually, oh I don't know, get paid to make them. But I'm better than expected!

Those are great! Great first job. Now if only I could do it. lol
Lover of Books - Thanks! I'm trying to learn..there are 3 other classes I can take and I really want to. I've always wanted to work with fondant.
I just love cupcakes! I've been craving them lately so I need to head to my local gourmet cupcake shop soon!
Ladytink - I don't know what it is about cupcakes but I love them too. I would rather have a cupcake over a cake anyday..even though I know technically they are the same thing. go figure....
So pretty! You did a great job on them, Kris. I almost wouldn't want to eat them. Almost.
Literary Feline - haha..trust me they did get eaten. I can't wait till I have to bake again so I can practice what I learned.
